I was approached by a long time acquaintance Mondo Kopua to provide an identity for the newly formed Cyclocross Marlborough group – or CX Marlborough. Mondo has done a mountain of work getting this established and has generated a lot of interest in this particularly masochistic form of cycling that has been huge in Belgian for a very long time. If you want to know what it’s all about check out You tube and see just how tough a bike race can be.
I put a concept together that combined the initials CXM, played on the classic elements of traditional cycling nations in Europe and included a modern interpretation of a stylised shield / crest. It’s been applied to some pretty cool retro bike tops and cycling caps and got me keen to throw my leg over a bike again. Well, for at least the first race of the series. I must try to get out more often than I post to this blog. Thanks Mondo for the opportunity to be involved at the start of cyclocross in Marlborough.
